I am currently an undergrad at a public university that pays me generously, but unfortunately life here is not was not what I expected, to put things lightly, so I am hoping to transfer. I discussed what I considered with my mother and have decided that it would be a good idea to transfer, despite the loss of scholarships, if the college I attended were of a high quality and not too expensive.

Specifically, what I would like to find is a university with excellent math and French programs, perhaps in a French-speaking country, that is one or more of: inexpensive, generous with international/transfer scholarships, generous with a work-study programme. I am OK with a reasonable amount of debt after school, so long as it is comfortably payable on a $40-50/year salary -- also allowing for that I'll be going to graduate school. I'm also looking for a relaxed, open-minded atmosphere. It would be a bonus if the school were located in Canada.

Do you have any school recommendations for me? Or perhaps suggestions on the best way to succeed in finding money/a good fit? Thank you!
