<p>Getting into UCLA from out of state is extremely tough, so it's a reach for you. Why not apply to USC instead?</p>

<p>Low SATs/SAT2's, but everything else is HYP level. Strong chance at all schools, including UCLA. Are you taking your SATs? You should, with a 2250+ you would get accepted to the majority of those top schools I believe</p>

<p>I am not a chancer, but since my son started at Dartmouth this month I can give you stats for their recent class. 40% of those who came from schools that ranked were top 2 in their class. Median SAT was 2200 with 740 M and 730 CR. When you parse their stats you understand that the candidate that has not been recruited for an athletic team and is not a legacy or a minority will in all probability considerably exceed the median stats.</p>
