I'm really stressed...

I am a junior in a California school with a 3.81 weighted GPA and 3.5 non-weighted. The reason for the low GPA is that I have 10 semesters of honors classes that were non-weighted. I am also currently enrolled in 4 AP classes (US History, Calculus, Computer Science and English). I got a 1960 on my SAT and plan to retake it. I have a decent amount of extracurriculars, volunteering, and am a two year volleyball captain (playing for three). I was interested in getting some feedback on what some experts/students/anyone think about my chances at the higher UC schools (such as UCLA, UC Berkeley, UCSD, UCI), USC, and Georgetown University, especially UCLA. I do not know if this means anything, but I want to be a business major. Thank you for your help and time.

bump......

yeah, join the club.

guess you sort of did.

why are your honors classes nonweighted? If you did well in them, it should be ok though, since colleges see the transcript. Also, if you have a high rank, that'll be pretty important.

my school does not rank honors classes in the freshman or sophmore year, only as an upperclassmen. Also, my school doesn't have a publicized rank, although I would assume I'm in the top 15%.

For the UCs, they only count sophomore and junior year grades. Also you want to check whether or not the honors course you took in sophomore will count as honors courses for the UCs.

take a look at thses scattergrams to check a feel where you are:AHS c/o 2007

Berkeley, LA, USC seem like reaches at this point
UCSD seem like a low/mid reach if you can bump up that SAT.
UCI seems like a good match
And i have no clue about G-town.

also, when you say you're junior. Do you mean a rising junior or rising senior?

I am going to be a senior next year, fall 2008. Also, after this past semester my 10 and 11 GPA is 3.95
