I'm really worried, is Rutgers going to rescind me?

Hi guys,

I’m a high school senior who applied early action to Rutgers. I got in and I’m planning on doing Computer Science in the School of Arts and Sciences. So, here’s the issue. All of my grades are really good, As and high Bs. However, there’s just this one class, AP Calculus C, that’s honestly the hardest math class I have ever taken in my life. Math use to not bother me that much, PreCalc wasn’t too bad and I did well last year in AP Calculus AB with a nice B. But now, in Calc C, the teacher is mean and the tests are impossible. I even have a tutor and I’m struggling. I currently have a D in the class and I’m actually worried it’s going to drop to an F. Is one F enough to rescind me even though my other grades are very good?

Yes, one F is enough to rescind you. Talk to your GC about how to get ahead of this and make sure it doesn’t become an F.

You need to change how you are studying. Go the the teacher’s office hours. Get a different tutor? Do extra study problems. Maybe get a different book that explains the concepts differently. Look at Khan Academy videos on the topics you are having trouble with.
