<p>I'm kind of in the same boat. I had good grades Freshman and Sophmore year. Then Junior year I got 2 B+'s, a few A-'s, and a few A's which brought my GPA down (A- in my school == 3.7, not sure if other schools do it that way also). </p>
<p>Although since you're going for music it shouldn't be as big of a deal for you ;)</p>
<p>Yeah, I don't know how academic performance is factored for a music major, if it's even different. But I would say generally junior year grades are more important than fresh and sophomore grades. That's not to say that fresh and sophomore grades aren't important, but that junior year is when most people load their schedules with AP classes. In addition, your straight A's this semester can only help you. I wouldn't worry about it. It's not like your can redo your junior year.</p>
<p>Honestly enough. One B isn't going to kill you. Your stats are what they are there is no use worrying about what might affect you. Any student with one B or more on their transcript is still more than competitive for acceptance.</p>
