I'm so bitter

While I am happy for those that got in, I am so upset that I wasn't admitted. I was accepted at many other great schools with full rides and I will probably attend Penn, but Princeton would have been so awesome. My girlfriend Zant got in, so we will be an hour apart I suppose. Perhaps this is for the best? Does Princeton/Penn allow people to come and go that freely from other campuses? I am not sure how strict they are with access of this nature.

At least you are able to start making plans...a bunch of us haven't even heard yet (and have to suspect rejection). Sorry about the outcome, and as completely cliche as it is, "those things do happen for a reason..."

Marcus!

I'm sorry you are bitter, I completely understand it in your regard. I know that you think Princeton is the perfect school, but it has its flaws like every place else. Penn is beautiful (though the hallways were too short and my head kept knocking into things), and it has an amazing reputation. My sister goes to school in Philadelphia and her roommate was from Princeton - it was very easy for her to get home. I have driven from Philly to Princeton (took about 45 minutes, driving fast), and I know that SEPTA is very easy to use as well. And of course you can visit whenever you want and vice versa, you are in college now, no stupid rules.

So if you want to be upset, go ahead! But I know once you get to Penn you will realize it was the perfect place for you. Everyone will be equally proud of you, and you will enjoy it the same. Those Penn kids know how to party - so me and Zant will be making a weekend trip, if you are prepared.

I'm sorry. I know just how much you wanted Princeton, because I felt the same way. If the letter I'm probably going to get tomorrow is small, then I'll probably end up at Penn too.

"Those things do happen for a reason..." Thing is, I don't even know how universally true this statement is anymore... it sounds like some sort of unprovable statement that can't really be refuted, like causality. There will always be some advantageous occurrence that derives from any given outcome of something! However, I just don't know.

ilcapo: What are the general restrictions though? Like, what would I not be able to do visiting Princeton, etc?

my interviewer said she traveled to philly all the time on weekends.

ilcapo,

You and zant aren't going to come visit me at Yale? :(

We might go visit you, but you can't visit us. Princeton will close its gates when it sees you coming. :)

LOL.

It probably will too!

Aw, that's really cute. Ivy love.

hahahahhaha marcus im sure they dont have any restrictions and ill probably have a car there so we can all have a CC reunion on philly! whooo!!!!

Penn and Princeton are rivals.. anyway, I live in philadelphia and the train ride to princeton is a short 55mins from 30th street (PENN). I'm sure things will work out well, Penn is an amazing school and is very close to pton.

Yeah we all totally need to meet!

Woot! That would be awesome!

Dooood, the football games and everything...yeah, we'll definitely have to meet up at sporting events and stuff. And I'll definitely be at Yale visiting my best friend a lot, so I'll probably see you around, enco.

But yeah, no matter what, we'll all have to find a place and have a big, awesome CC meetup.

COMEON EVERYONE COME SEE BROADWAY SHOWS IN NYC!!! u know u wanna =P

silmon you are going to UPenn? woot I will have to meet you also, you too Phil!

maybe a little detour to ithaca...??? lol...only if you were insane.

I'll be at Penn myself, I hope to visit some nearby cities like Princeton and NYC (might take a while)
