i'm so confused--what should I do?

okay, im currently a freshman and my intended major is biology. im also on the pre-med track. however, i cant take any biology courses until i take a year of chemistry. since i didnt take chemistry first semester, should i take the second half of the course? i have no problem doing this, but would this put me behind in any way?

if not, i was thinking about taking chemistry at the city college of new york this summer:

Chemistry Department - Division of Science - CCNY

i just want to take a year's worth of chem by the beginning of my sophomore year; i just dont know how to approach this problem. would taking the second half hurt me?

thanks

i dont think you can take chem 2 without taking chem if thats what you mean, plus med schools want a full year of chem with lab you cant take just the second semester. Having chem done before sophomore year is crucial and then take bio sophomore year...your not technically behind but your going to have to double up on orgo and physics junior year

Why can't you take bio classes without chem? What about intro bio?

Also, isn't there a section of gen chem 1 offered in the Spring?
