I'm so depressed, are these SAT2 scores ok?

i took sat2 twice..
the first time i got these: Chemistry :750 Math2: 740 Physics: 700.
then i took math2 and physics again for better scores.
but omg...i screwed....
i only got math2 for 750 and physics for 730...
i'm so depressed now..and i apply to CMC under ED...
are these scores ok???????
alas...

you must be kidding that you are depressed. your scores aren't bad. get up and cheer!

Those are decent scores. Seriously, you're done; go play video games - I hear Unreal Tournament 3 is out...

thx u guys..hope i'll get the chance to get in!

stop stressing and pat urself on the back

Those scores are not bad at all! Cheer up and go out and play and relax...

Jeez...

at least ur score are better than mine, Math II 740 (T___T)
I really think there might be some mistakes here, I thought I got 790-800

Wait i got a 760 in chem and i am worried cos i am looking at MIt, cal tech etc. My dad says a 760 is really not all that good and is in the 85th precentile. Is this score actually bad, or is he exagerrating? I feel like if i took the test last year, i would have gotten an 800.

bump plz respond to penultimate post (counting mine as the last)

oh my god... if you are depressed about your scores i should suicide....

I thought you would be depressed because your scores went down, but actually your scores went up? Why are you upset? Be proud of yourself!

If I were you, frankly, I would be more depressed on account of my ignorance of English grammar.

The Chemistry score is perfectly fine, although your Math II and Physics need some work.

In truth, any score 700+ is excellent. 750+ is ideal, though it's really not that big of a deal.

If numbers can drive you into depression, then you are obviously not a very emotionally stable person...

you guys are too tough with internationals.

I've been on this forum for 2 months maybe, and now I'm familiar with these type of posts. You must understand though, that unlike American students who have prepared for standardized testing throughout high school, or at least have known of the existence and importance of these tests, international students don't know about them until they have to take them.

I didn't know about SAT Subject Tests until I saw one college I was applying to required them. I didn't know what a good score is. I mean, a 750 is an EXCELLENT SAT I score, and probably puts in the top 98% of the test takers. A 750 in Physics, for example, puts you in the top 79%. An uninformed international student, who will probably need financial aid might see this and worry. "Oh, dear, it's a terrible score!"

it's just lack of information, not obsession or sickness. Remember that internationals haven't been preparing for years, and that we're usually anxious about our scores, because studying in the U.S is VERY expensive and competitive.

Hey, even though they're not the best scores you could get (you know like 760+), you're still great! And when you get to that point, I really don't think it makes too much of a difference whether you get a 740 or a 780, they're gonna just look at the rest of your resume now :D
