Please cheer me up.

I gave Math II and Phy SAT subject tests...and I think I'm getting around 750 in both.

I'm really really disappointed.

I don't even have a second attempt anymore...because in December, I'm trying to boost my SAT I score (2170)

I'm planning on engineering to schools like Penn, Berkeley, CMU, and Harvey Mudd.

My dreams are shattered now, aren't they? Sigh.. :(

Wouldn't boosting up your SAT II scores be better? Your SAT I score is compatible.
Maybe you should aim for 800's on your SAT II?

Just a suggestion ^_^

you can do it!
just take the ACT :] in DEC too.

750 is a competitive score! I don't know where else to smack my head. I think I've covered all ground possible.

GO Dr. House MD =)

Thanks everyone :)

So is it better to improve my SAT I score or my SAT II score?

There's no guarantee I'll do better on either of them second time around, so which do you think I should give? A SAT I improvement is more likely I think?

How bad is a 750? Do they look at the percentile or do they see that 750/800 looks good? Lol, siiiiiiigh. High high hopes....apple pie, in the skyyyyy hopes.

I'll stop singing now.

thanks :D

improve SAT I/take ACT, if you want to improve anything (even though you don't rly need to).
and they see 750/800, which is amazing.

750/800
is not very "amazing"

^ don't make me bite you. -.-

800 and 750 are pretty damn good.

bring it on =P

lol....srsly... if you choose to take a subject test(which means you are very good at it), why shouldn't you get a 800?

ehh?
750 is competitive

With regard to post # 11

Some folks take subject tests because they HAVE to to apply, not because they are "very good" at it. Perhaps some CC people think people who can't score better than 750 shouldn't be applying to schools that require them, but I ( granted, a parent of a kid who didn't score in the 700's) don't see it that way. For example, all UC applicants have to take them ( for the moment, at least).

good point...I take my words back....

Given Saturday's Physics test, a 750 is AMAZING.

hey a question for you guys!

When the score reports are send to the colleges, can the colleges see percentiles too or only the scores?

wait...
if the test is harder...should the curve be better?

lol..just wondering

^usually, yes

Don't be so hard on yourself!

I'm in pretty much the same boat, and I'm fairly happy as 750 is good.

Don't forget that a fair amount of schools will take january scores, call and ask.

I took my first SAT IIs on Saturday and I would die of happiness if I even got a 700.

You're scenario reminds me of myself. I got a 2160 on my SAT which is only alright, but my friends reactions to me wanting to retake them were "Are you kidding me? With those scores you can go to school on the moon or anywhere else you want to go to. Why would you retake that?"

Look at this way, with those scores, you're bound to get into a school that you'll be happy in. It's not the end of your future as you know it. And who knows, maybe you'll do better than you thought.
