I'm so dumb

if you're in all of these advanced classes im sure you are NOT dumb. just work your butt off in school and do your best.

I think you're smart b/c you used the word narcisstic

LOL, nice random but funny bump.

a) If you try to cram 10 Alg II assignments in at once, you probably won't retain the material very well -- it's best to go slowly and absorb the material little by little.

I zoomed through FLVS Alg II in about a month, didn't retain a thing, and am doing very well in PreCal and AP Phys.

You don't need Alg II; it's a bunch of useless information about conic sections and some stupid shortcuts that try to complicate the already easy process of factoring by trying to make it easier.

The only important section in the entire course is the one on Logarithms. I'd send you my work, but I think I recall an early post of yours like declaring all out war on cheaters. (might not have been you though...)

I was a bit lost at first when I went into PreCal ONLY because it was the first time I touched a graphing calculator and used interval notation, but the online course didn't teach that anyways because there were online calculators you could use.

The salutatorian of my class, who ended up in Princeton, cried several times when we were taking these tests.

That's a bit pathetic...

Yes, you are. Does that make you happier?

PS. In fact, the guy who just called you dumb failed two classes in HS. Good luck with your life now!

Welcome to cc. ;)
Hell, welcome to life.

Alex

I feel the same way. I used to have A's in all my classes but my schedulem this year is killing me.

A.P English Language and Composition
A.P Microeconomics
A.P Calculus AB
Linear Algebra and Differential Equations
A.P Chemistry
Biology Projects 5 (research program)
College Macroeconomics

Will an 88 avg in these classes at a top magnet rule me out for top schools? Would I fail if I got in to a good school?

Well if you're as pretty as you say you are, then you doon't need no fancy @$$ education to get places in this world. Use what you got. WORK IT GIRL!!!

.........and I'm sure you're still pretty smart.

... Huh?

Yours truly,
Alex

IF I can't handle that schedule would I be able to do well at a top school?

OHHH. I interpreted that differently xD. As in, if you didn't get into a top school and instead got into 'only' a good school you would have failed.

But anyway. The difference between college and high school is you can generally take classes you're interested in, and aside from that I haven't met a lot of students who take 7 courses per semester. It's a whole 'nother world. Relax. You're not going to be the best or the smartest - accept it early on and university would be easier. ;)

Alex

I read in a recent edition of a magazine that kids who believe in improving their intelligence are much more successful than those who believe in static (inherent) intelligence

its ok

I'm feeling smarter. I just turned an F into an A.

By adding one line?

i remember last 3 years i used to study like 5 hrs a day and still not understand anything, now its my senior year, i barely do anything and i understand everything lol, and i look at the people who study a lot and pay attention in class and do bad on tests and i feel sorry for them lol.
