I'm so misguided

I recently got admission OOS to Purdue's CME program, and I got admission in state to St. Louis College of Pharmacy (6 year program instead of 8). I have no idea what to do!

For my family, the costs will be the same for both colleges, at around $120k. Purdue is 300 miles away, Pharmacy is 25 miles away. The pharmacy college is private, ranked 32 in the nation, and isn't as prestigious at Purdue. Basically, I want to know by a general consensus, what would you do in my situation? Chemical engineering at Purdue for 4 years, or Pharmacy close to home for 6 years? I'm torn with confusion.. help me please!

If you want to be a chemical engineer, do the chemical engineering program. If you want to ba a pharmacist, do the pharmacy program. Other than that, I think you have to make up your own mind. I know I will have a very difficult time choosing between the colleges to which I have been admitted, so know that you are not alone.

At this point its basically the $ and social aspects. Purdue costs $240000 for an 8 year pharmacy program when St. Louis costs $110000. However, the social aspects of St. Louis college seem dreary because there aren't many students at that school since it's private and highly competitive. I'm leaning towards pharmacy + mba = $150k+? a year..

Pharm is very competitive. A lot more people would love to be in a pharm school than get a chem eng degree.
