I'm SO scared

nspeds, i don't really know why you feel the need to pick apart everything the kid says. really, he just asked a simple question. No need to get so rude.

And I'm a girl by the way.

...and I don't think I indicated otherwise in this thread.

Nspeds says that he's so busy with school,

I never said I was "so busy with school." If you manage your time well, you can pretty much do whatever you want.

Yeesh. You guys really need to learn how to read.

i wasn't referring to you...

" I saw St. Louis written in Pongo's profile and simply assumed that he attended school there."

...you really need to learn how to read

Pongo, I know someone from my high school who went to Boston University. It's a great school, but it's so cold in Boston.

That was an implicature, so it doesn't apply to me.

Here are some quotes from vtoodler's posts:

Post #1: "My college is so hard."
Post #3: "What college did you attend?"
Post #7: "Pongo, do you attend WUSTL? I attend wUSTL."

Adding these up, the casual reader might deduce that vtoodler is flaunting the apparent difficulty of WUSTL. Post #9 by nspeds may have been a touch harsh, but we shouldn't be busting his chops for reaching a perfectly reasonable conclusion.

Thank you, thinman:)

just let it go.....geeesh

Besides, Pongo stated that his college was easy.

So, if he says that his college was easy and I asked him whether he attended WUSTL, then how does that make sense that I'm flaunting WUSTL's difficulty.

Pongo is a girl.

"Besides, Pongo stated that his college was easy.

looks like nspeds can't say anything. vtoodler got him good.

There's no way your professors assigned that much work at the same time. Methinks you haven't planned your time wisely and your work has, as it does, piled up on you.

Are you kidding, professors assign way more work than that in one semester.

Jaso9n2, you must be at a community college.

Chances of you getting assigned 50 pages worth of papers combined from multiple classes the week before they are all due is highly unlikely. Therefore, if you cannot write 50 pages in a week, you could have started earlier.

Here is something that may help you:

Stop procrastinating. Get off the discussion board :)

vtoodler, if I were you, I wouldn't dignify nspeds comment with a response. I can't believe how rude some people are.

Furthermore, Nspeds says that he's so busy with school, yet it seems as if he's on CC all the time. Some people need to get a life.

Just put him on ignore. You can go in your account and add nspeds to your ignore list. I find the fellow to be rather harsh and rude, so the heck with him. Why bother with someone that rude? Life is too short. No one is obligated to put up with any insults or any form of bullying, and I assume that is why there is the ignore option.

Now OP. I reckon you do need to just focus and try your best with your papers. And, I recommend outlining. Outlining will save you some time, because it could very well help you get the "feel" for writing papers of a rather long length.

Since we are now taking lessons from life, this advice is especially useful: when you encounter a "rude" person (there is a difference between rude and acerbic) in the workplace, just put him/her on the "ignore list."

The practical advice would be to learn to deal with it: not everything in life is as easy as handling by assigning to a list, and that "life is short" does not permit one to proceed without being prudent about the choices one makes. For instance, I remember hearing a smoker justify his habit by arguing the same thing. Hello?

On the other hand, I have found your posts to be rude. Does this mean that you should put yourself on ignore? [rolleyes] This will perhaps lead to a paradox more substantive than anything you have contributed on this forum.

^

No, seriously, I put the bullying types of folks on ignore, deary. I am anti internet bullying and all of that.

Have a nice day. I actually had someone warn me about you rather early on.

Wait a minute... you hired or enlisted someone to warn you about me in advance? That's kind of freaky, but makes me feel honored.
