I'm beginning to see that GWU has built its recognition upon the fact that it's located in DC and it offers wonderful internships. Maybe it is resentment that I have for not receiving any sort of merit aid, but Syracuse seems like a better social fit for me. I live in a small town in Missouri. I feel I may get lost in the chaos and competitiveness of DC. I know SU has a great poly sci program but can anyone tell me some specifics on it? Are the professors helpful with internships and do they have actual experience with their fields? I guess what I am asking is can you tempt me to the Orange side?

Does anyone have any save advice?

Contact Maxwell School and ask for someone to answer your questions; will be more productive IMO…

or arts and sci in the political sci department…

Why would you study Political Science in Syracuse, NY when you can study it in Washington, DC??

Cost. The lack of a campus. I’m very conflicted.

Also, have a look at the website. Hillary Clinton spoke there this past week and there is a video of it. You can see her interacting with one of the professors. He is quite impressive. The networking that Syracuse offers students is quite impressive. I think you should consider going with your gut feelings…

My son is an engineering student and we come from a small New England town. He had o difficulty adjusting… Good luck…
