Hey everyone, Syracuse and GWU are my two top choices unless northeastern magically gives me money lol. I’m stuck between the two schools so I’d really appreciate some feedback! I’m majoring in biology. GWU’s location is amazing and has a lot of opportunities for internships. However, I’ve always liked more of a traditional campus feel and Syracuse is beautiful, although the location is eh. Also, Syracuse has a lot more school spirit and that’s really important to me. Does anyone know how social life at GWU is? Syracuse is more expensive according to the aid I’ve received, although I’d be paying around the same for each college. Please help!! I’m torn!!
tbh if you’re looking for the “traditional campus feel” and are looking for the classic college experience syracuse is probably going to be the better choice for you. From what I heard the social life at GWU isn’t the best and the people I know who go there ended up not liking it there, but then it does depend on the person. Good luck!
also it would be amazing if you could help me w/my college decisions as well:

GWU is actually a bit of a party school. It sounds like you’d prefer Syracuse, though.
Could you visit the schools, if you haven’t already?
I’ve visited both but I’ve only gotten a glimpse of GWU because there was a storm and the tour was cut short lol. I’m just tentative on the fact that GWU’s student body might not be as tight-knit being as the school is located in the city. Living in DC would be amazing though, I plan on visiting once again!
I think that socially, at GW kids tend to take advantage of DC, going out to the bars and restaurants and all that the city offers where as at Syracuse, they tend to spend more time on campus. Eact set up will create a different kind of vibe.
I mean yes GW is great and the internships are there, but the internships are mostly for political science. it honestly seems like the best option for you (especially for a great bio field) is Syracuse
