I'm super worried about not passing a class, please help!

Hi people,

So this semester was very hectic for me, because I was taking 5 STEM classes. For my differential equations class, I took it pass/fail from the beginning of the semester because I knew I have limited time and energy. The syllabus says that the grade distribution consist of 1/3 of homework 1/3 of midterm and 1/3 of the final. I got a 92% on the midterm, completed all the homework. However, I had four final exams and two final papers during the finals week and had to study for other classes I didn’t put on pass-fail. Since I knew the class was pass-fail, I took virtually no time to study the material. When I arrived at the final, I was shocked at how difficult was the exam and how little I knew. There were 8 problems, and I was only sure of my answers on three of them. I made some attempt on rest of the problems, but I’m pretty sure most of them are incorrect. Now I’m so worried that I can’t even pass the class(getting above a C-). I regret so much for underestimating this class and I know it’s kind of too late for anything. Is there anything I could do to increase the chance of not failing?? HELPPP

After you took the final? I gotta say no.

If the three parts are equally weighted, you should be fine… Just for easy calculations, let’s say homework, midterm, and final are each worth 100 points- total of 300. You already have 100 (homework) + 92 (midterm) and 37 (assuming you got those three problems correct on final) = 229/300 points. That is a 76%…should be enough to pass…

The only thing to do is talk to the professor.
