I live in Minneapolis. We're taking a road trip to check out U Iowa, UW-Madison, UIUC, Purdue, OSU, UMich, and IU.

Are there any other schools in that area that I may not be aware of that are similar to the ones I listed?

Yeah, add Northwestern, Minnesota, Michigan State and Penn State for the complete Big Te[leve]n tour... ;)

Notre Dame is also pretty close

Not unless a new state between Indiana and Illinois was created and they have a flagship public U although you could add Michigan State

I (third?) Michigan State as well. I'm from Michigan and I like Mich State MUCH better than I like UofMich. But that's just one person's opinion.

Miami, Ohio is pretty nice and a smaller version of the schools you listed.

What a Big Ten fan!! ;)

Stop by Penn State University Park on October 18th. That's the weekend of the Michigan game and it's homecoming. It's going to be an amazing weekend.

I would second Miami of Ohio. I know a number of Wisc., Ind. and Ill. residents who go there--it's a much smaller public than the ones that you listed and has a beautiful campus in a very quiet town. Its a bit isolated, and considered to be very preppy--but for the student who enjoys that kind of atmosphere, it is ideal.
