I'm worried: I made a Snapchat story I'm not proud of

Hello all

So today I remembered that in 2015, I made a Snapchat story I’m not proud of. I won’t go into detail but I wouldn’t want college admissions officers to know anything about it. Do I have any reason to be concerned?

Delete it

Snapchat stories last for 24 hours. It was already deleted – two years ago.

There is almost no chance adcoms would have come across it.

There’s literally no way it could affect you in terms of college admissions

@bodangles I think one or two people may have screenshotted it. How likely do you think it is that it would get out, to a point where admissions officers would find out about it

Unlikely. I don’t think you have much to worry about.

Stories gets deleted after a time period of 24 hours. Even if one or two people screenshotted the story, it’s highly improbable that it’s “out there”, and that’s assuming someone still has those screenshots. To make it even more unlikely, the chances of admission officers discovering a 2 year old snapchat story is extremely slim.

Do you guys know about this? I successfully found something “deleted” years ago that was used in a divorce case

My understanding is that snapchats never truly disappear. It was a story that got wide coverage a few years back.

Closing thread. The user created a 2nd account to ask this question, in violation of ToS. I wonder if this is even a valid post. Regardless, at this point, it is what it is. While true that nothing is truly deleted, I’d say the odds of anyone finding it are slim to none. But if they did, it’s not like anything can be done about it.
