Immediate Response Email- Send in Syllabus but Professor is not Responding

So on Friday, March 20th, I got an Immediate Response Email from the UC Admissions team. They asked me to send in the syllabus for five courses (I’m from a Cal State so this is understandable) within five days.

The problem is that there is just one course/ professor who has not responded. I have sent an email to her, as well as a follow-up email stating my urgency. I might even send one tomorrow.

Within five days, that means my deadline is March 25th, right? Does Saturday and Sunday count? If I can’t get the syllabus in time for that one class, should I send it in anyway, even though I am missing one? Or should I wait? Does it have to be that class with that specific professor or can it be from any professor that taught that class during that semester? Has anyone gone through this before?

Any thoughts would be nice. Thanks!

I should also clarify that this is a course I took a year ago and I have no record anywhere of the syllabus in that class.

What’s the class, Professor and CSU?

@Ohm888 It is Chem 160 (General Chemistry II) at CSUSM with Dr. Ng

Given what’s going on with coronavirus it may be hard to get ahold of people. I would send in what you have with a note that you have been unable to contact the prof for this one class so UC doesn’t think you’re ignoring them. If you can get a syllabus from any Chem 160 I’d also send that in and mention it wasn’t your specific class but it was for another Chem 160 offering.

You might want to also call the Chem dept if they are in; perhaps they keep the syllabi on file. Mention your situation, see if they can do anything to help you. You could try emailing the faculty advisor on https://www.csusm.edu/chemistry/student-resources.html to see if he can help.

@mikemac Yeah, that makes a lot of sense. I will definitely email the chem and biochem faculty advisors and maybe the department chair to see if they can help. Thank you!

@fashionista99 the reason I asked is sometimes the syllabi for courses are posted online. I did a quick search - didn’t see it - but it was a very quick search on my part.

@Ohm888 Oh okay I see. Thank you for searching though!
