I found out that for my quarter grade, I received a D in my AP Calculus BC class. I am a junior, and math is not my intended major. 3rd quarter really killed me, but there really is no excuse. My Semester 1 grade was a B, and I am intending on working for an A for the 4th quarter. In addition, I am really working hard to make sure I get a 5 on the AP Calc BC exam.

How much of an impact will this have on my overall admissions outlook?

My friends (yes, not a very official source) said that the transcripts we send to colleges during the application season show quarterly grades as well. Unfortunately, they will be able to see the D I had in that class.

But again, I have yet to confirm with my college counselor.
