importance of ACT section scores?

I just got my ACT back a week ago and I got a 32, my desired score. My breakdown is 34 english, 33 math, 32 reading, 30 science. My math, english, and reading scores are where I want them to be but my science is bringing me down. My original question: what do colleges like to see the highest scores in? I know that writing on the SAT doesn’t matter as much as the other sections, so are there more “important” sections on the ACT?

I think its the math reading scores in ACT that are important

what about english? it’s my best score

Math, English, and the composite are the most important. Then reading, and science being the least important.

English is similar to Writing on the SAT which is usually the least important to colleges so wouldn’t math and reading be most important followed by english and science?

I think science is the least important for most schools if one were to have to choose. English is important.

Math and reading are the most important, however for the ACT your composite is looked at more than just a few sections. SAT is a bit different, since the writing is looked at by some colleges but not by others.

Ok, so the general consensus here is that science is the least important section? Good.

If you look at the Common Data Set that most colleges and universities provide, they list scores for the Composite, Math, and English. Reading and Science are short tests, barely longer than quizzes

Depends where you apply for eg GTech only looks at 3 scores English, Math and English/Writing.

Many consider the composite most important but a large number including high ranks believe math and English are the more important scores. They do not compare ACT English to SAT writing when comparing the two tests but instead, when makeing a comparison, they compare ACT math to SAT math and ACT English to SAT reading section, and some like Gtech also compare the ACT combined English/writing score to SAT writing.
