I am beginning my journey of finding and getting into college. I want to get a BFA in Acting in a few different schools.
My question is, how important is the general online application? Do they see that you're going to be auditioning anyway and just shuffle you through? Or do they look just as intensely at the university application as they will your audition and interview?

Depends on the school. If you are looking at a conservatory program, your audition will be the key. If you are looking at a school with an academic BFA (meaning, you’re still expected to take certain general ed classes) then they will want to make sure you are academically qualified. Some schools are upfront that if you get into the BFA program than you are in the school despite GPA and stats. Others want more balanced applicants. Your best best is to continue to do your best in school and make it easier for BFA programs to admit you. Plus, it helps with scholarships. Not to mention, if you don’t get into a program you like, getting into a college based on academics still allows your to get a BA in theatre.
