so I had a one to one interview with a guy that did it for four years. It went very well with him, with him saying that he’ll recommend me. Just wondering the weight of interviews for Brown, because he did say beforehand that it is more of an “info-session” where I can get to know brown and divulge more of my personal information that I was not able to show in the app.

Also wondering if interviewers always recommend people for their universities haha :p

thanks

They don't always recommend people for their university. When I interviewed for Brown, he said that the girl before me was the worst fit for Brown he had ever interviewed. Ouch! He also said that it was a casual convo and info session for me to ask any questions I had, like yours.

I think a stellar interview can push you over the edge, and a horrible one may hurt you. They probably get a lot of average ones, in which case I don't think it hurts or helps.

I hope I wasn't the girl who was interviewed before you, cowtipper. Haha... yeah. My interview was really weird.

Its been said by many college admissions offices thast the interviews either don't factor in or they only rarely have any substantial effect, positive or negative.
