How much will first semester senior grades matter for admissions into SCA? I applied to the Animation major but most likely will end this semester with a handful of Bs in AP classes (as a result, this year’s GPA will probably be lower than my junior year GPA).
I think I have a strong application besides my GPA. How much will my grades in my current year affect me?
No one can answer this for a school that is very holistic in its admissions. Depends on your entire package, looking at one aspect of it doesn’t say enough for anyone online to say anything with any kind of certainty or credibility. That is why us folks around the USC forum generally don’t reply to chance me threads and just send applicants to this thread that is still as relevant as the day it was started:

The good news is they do look at your whole package while other schools may focus strongly on grades and test scores. So if the rest is strong you are still in the running at a holistic school like USC.
