Importance of SATs in Transfer process`

Hey Y'all,

Just retook SATs and did pretty well...I'm wondering how much this will affect my application (at schools that examine SATs scores taken during college obviously...not NYU etc.). Is a 2340 still going to be really helpful when I'm transfering, or not so much? (I'm asking about scores relative to their impact as a 1st yearr applicant...)

I did a search but couldn't find anything. Any input would be greatly appreciated!

-Pen

PS- Anyone know what the deal with SAT IIs is? If I take 4/5 do colleges usually only care about my top 3 scores? (I think I read that somewhere on CC....) Also, will a low 600 score from 11/2003 be given equal weight with high 700/800s from more recently?

any thoughts?

They are important, but not nearly as important as they are for freshman applicants. SAT's are "suppose" to predict your college grades and they will consequently value your GPA more than your SAT. For SAT II's, most schools will just look at your best 3.

Thanks! I appreciate the feedback. Anyone else have any knowledge about this kind of thing?
