I was wondering if anyone had any thoughts on the importance of attending accepted students events. I visited once last year and took a tour and went to an info session. I got a grea feeling about the school. I was wondering if attending decision davidson would really be beneficial in making my final decision. It would require a lot of money and/or time to get down there. I know this is a personal decision, but I was just wondering if anyone else had thought about the importance of second visits.

I know taking a second visit had a huge impact on my brother when he was deciding between Yale and Middlebury, so it might be beneficial for you too. On the other hand, it is expensive and if you’re already leaning towards Davidson, it might not make that big of a difference. Personally, I would go because it sounds like a lot of fun, but I don’t know the details of your situation.

Coincidentally, I’m deciding between Middlebury and Davidson! I feel like they are very similar but in very different locations… I never officially visited Midd. so I will definitely be doing that, but I just don’t know if I could decide on Davidson without seeing it again, just because it’s so far away (13 hours) from home.

Did you decide to do Decision Davidson? Did you visit Middlebury?

I just got back from visiting Davidson and I did an overnight stay. I’m so glad I went! Seeing the school again and especially staying with a student really gave me a new perspective. I’m visiting Middlebury later this week and then deciding but I really loved Davidson!

Thunder1 - so pleased you really liked Davidson. Go for it!
