Important application mistake?

So today for almost no productive purpose at all I logged into my online status check and noticed that it said I am a non-florida resident (which I am not) I have already been rejected but is this a viable reason to send a letter of appeal or call office of admissions to discuss this?

It wouldn’t hurt to call, which is definitely what I’d do.

This is not a reason to appeal at all. All students have to verify their Florida residency to be classified as in-state. This is FSU policy. I had to do it both for undergrad acceptance and graduate acceptance.

This is so that people that try to claim in-state residency but actually don’t meet the requirements will not game the system.
