Important question about subject tests...

Hello,

The ivy league colleges require the SAT I and 2 subject tests.
I don't take rigorous courses such as honors or AP because my school does not offer them. So, I am planning to take five subject tests as a means of showcasing my skills in various areas. Do you think the ivy league admission officers will take all the subject test scores into consideration?

Two are required. Princeton and Harvard state they will consider any sent. The other ivies use for admission the highest two submitted and thus many extras ones really achieve little except to determine highest two.

Like drusba said, depending on the school’s requirements, they’ll just consider some of your scores.

But in your situation, I think this is an excellent way of demonstrating your expertise. Be sure to explain this in your application though so they understand.

I would also email the schools and ask for each school’s opinion on this to be safe.

Are you allowed to choose which subject tests the colleges see, or do they see all the scores of every test you have taken?

Non-score choice schools make it clear they want you to send ALL your scores, but most schools offer Score Choice. Even those without though claim to only consider your highest scores though.
