i'm a senior who has already taken the SAT and did pretty decently the first time (2170) i took it, but decided to retake today for a higher math score, but i think i just ended up doing a tad bit worse on all the sections and maybe like 20+ points higher on math, for an overall worse score by what im assuming will be a minimum of 50 points. is this going to hurt me for colleges or will they just combine the scores and not really consider that i did worse the second time? thanks.

Most schools take the highest of each section and count that. E-mail the AdComm of the schools you're interested in and ask them.

Usually you have nothing to lose by re-taking the SATs.
