IMPORTANT:The FIRST thing you would do if you got rejected by an IVY

<p>this is what i'm going to do this winter.
a) get rejected
b) wait for other ivy leagues
c) get slightly dejected
d) wait for other college applications
e) get really dejected
f) go to rutgers and prepare for the most intense studying ever.</p>

<p>that's the worst case scenario. i'm hoping i never get past a.</p>

<p>Depends. If it was HYP, I woulnd't really care. Applying to those is like putting your name into a lottery. You don't cry if you don't get it, just be happy if you do.</p>

<p>I'd think, "Oh well. That's too bad. But what did I expect?" Then I'd get on with my life.</p>

<p>This is all completely hypothetical, though. I didn't apply to any Ivies. I don't think I'd be happy at any of them besides maybe Dartmouth, and I had my doubts about Dartmouth, too--though I was going to apply there. </p>

<p>Actually, if it were Harvard I had applied to and been rejected from, I would probably think, "Darn. But this saves me the trouble of people asking why I declined their offer of admission." Because I really didn't want to go to Harvard. :p</p>

<p>I would hope I got into other top choices. Like if I got into MIT and Stanford...I dont think I'd care too much. If I'm going to state school....well let's not go there.</p>

<p>I'd probably get sad/angry for a couple of minutes, then realize its not the end of the world and start concentrating on why I like the other schools I applied to better.
All the while being slightly jealous of my crazy smart friends who will definitely get in. lol.</p>
