Hello, I got rejected from all four of the Ivy League schools that I applied to (Princeton Yale Brown and Dartmouth). Lately, I've been really depressed about this even though I am going to an amazing honors program at TCNJ. Two of my good friends are going to Harvard . Does anybody know of any communities that are focused, and if not I was thinking about making a website that does. Is this a good idea? Additionally I think non ivy success stories would cheer me up (excluding Stanford Duke and MIT etc that are really ivies in disguise) Thank you for the support.

Don’t despair. This happens all the time. Doesn’t seem fair, but it is the way the college game is played. Similar to son and he was Valedictorian as well. (Didn’t apply to all the same Ivy’s but some as you.

As son knew… should get into all school applied to but will not. Only matterw where you get accepted, rejections don’t matter.

Be happy with TCNJ- has great reputation. If you are not happy, transfer, but give it time. You can go anywhere and be anything.

Son took a full tuition scholarship at a safety he loved and decided the money we saved could be spent on grad school. He had a great undergrad experience and is in grad school now. Debt free for him. He is amazed at the debt his HS peers are strapped with.

Good luck.

Here is one:

From the outside, the decisions taken by the admissions offices at highly selective colleges and universities appear to be totally random. Please do not waste one more second of your life trying to figure out their logic. It will only make you crazy.

Thank you for the help and @crazed, I will also be paying much less at TCNJ because of a scholarship I received there so I guess it is not such a bad thing to graduate with nearly nothing in debt. @happymomof1, that student did put up a good argument for next tier schools.

A few years back my nephew also got a big scholarship to TCNJ. He had a wonderful four years there, excelled in his major (Chemistry), and went on to get his PhD at Yale.

I got denied at all three of the Ivies I applied to, yet I’m going to Middlebury next year, so I am happy as can be. You should be too.

You don’t say, my major is going to be chemistry as well maybe I should just really wok hard as see what happens
