Hi guys,
I’m planning to take the Bio M subject test next week. I already took it before this year and got a 770, but I’m aiming for an 800 if possible, because I want to pursue biology later on as well. However, as I’m taking the practice tests, my scores are getting worse and worse (just today, I got a 610 on a practice test). I don’t know what to do to increase my scores, as instead of improving over time, they are going downhill. I studied from Barron’s and PR, as well as did some Kaplan practice tests.
Please let me know how I can improve my scores. Thanks so much
If you already got a 770, I would honestly not retake it and risk getting a lower score. Most colleges can probably see all your scores anyway
So, does a 770 look bad compared to someone else who got an 800? Or is it considered to be in the same range? And does it mean I’ll have to work harder to get perfect scores in other standardized tests?
A 770 definitely does not look bad in my opinion even compared to a 800. If I got a 770, I wouldn’t even consider retaking. Also, have you taken AP yet or only Honors? If you haven’t taken AP, I would wait until after and then maybe retake it.
Move on. Focus on other aspects of your application instead. A 770 is a great score. A college that rejects you with a 770 would not have accepted you with an 800, IMO.
