I recieved my SAT scores on thursday and got a 750 in Math. I probably got 2 wrong and I know 1 of them (an easy question but i spaced out). I'm going to take the SAT again in Oct/Nov and so, what should my next course of action be to get that 800? continue studying for the other sections? or buy a book just for math? (770 (76/10) WR 640 CR)

Where are you applying? It might be in your best interest to work on your critical reading score instead. Colleges will be more impressed with three 700+ sections than a jump from 750 to 800.

I’m planning to apply to ivies. I’m planning on working on CR too but, the main question was whether i should dedicate a lot of time to improve to that 800 math score.

Perhaps CR is more important. 750 for Math is good enough, though you could improve. Just be more careful.

When you’re getting 700+ on math you probably already know how to solve every type of question on the test given some time. I recommend practicing until you get the hang of the math section and focusing on getting rid of small errors. If you want to try a prep book, get the Gruber’s guide to the SAT, the math section in it is very comprehensive.

If you’re applying to Ivies you want to also have a 700+ CR. Find out on your score report whether you missed more sentence completions (vocab) or passage based questions and base your studying off of that.

Focus on CR. Once you’ve gotten a 750 on math you can easily bring that to 800 by focusing during the exam without any extra practice

750 in math is great. Universities know that a 50 pt drop is due to literally two questions u probably made a careless error on. I got a 750 too and my score report says i got two wrong. The curve wasnt nice. I can tell u that much
