I am a junior in high school right now preparing to take the SAT's soon.
I just took a practice test on the CB website.

I know my math score is dismal. I have an SAT review book and I am currently taking Algebra 2. I go over my math about twenty minutes a day in addition to regular homework every night. Does anyone have any advice as to how I can drastically improve my math SAT score? My ultimate goal is to reach a 600-650 in math, although I realize that may be impossible.
Thanks!

Work through the blue book and look up/figure out methods to solve problems that you did not answer correctly the first time. Also the PWNtheSat website and books are helpful. Good luck!

You can definitely do it. Use tactics like plug in numbers in place of variables to dumb down questions and test answer choices as well in place of variables. Work through the blue book’s 10 tests of math and review the questions. You’ll find out the same concepts are tested and master them

You could learn from <a href=“SparkNotes: Today's Most Popular Study Guides”>SparkNotes: Today's Most Popular Study Guides. Take your time and learn the stuff… Take down notes and equations by hand on a notebook and read it once every two days… They’ll get burned to your mind. Do practise tests for maths … Barron’s is good… Hope you do well…

My son found Gruber’s SAT guide helpful for Math. Since you are presently studying Alg 2 in school, you may not have covered all of the SAT math material yet, so may perform better on the SAT as this school year wears on.

Continued use of the Blue book is your best bet.

Practice, practice, practice.
I always recommend Barrons if you have the time- their questions are harder than the SAT, but really teach you the concepts required to do well on the actual test.

It’s also essential that you keep track of the kinds of math questions you get wrong and put extra time into those (which you can already do with the information from your CB practice exam).

Good luck!

Thanks guys!
I took another practice test this week and improved my math score by 40 points and my reading score by 10 points!
