I thought SAT scores were a factor, too. Well then…
@xxxtebbybearxxx it says on their website that they are based on SAT scores, placement test scores, counsler recommendations, and GPA
IMSA does factor in (as well) gender, race, place you live, etc.
(at least, that’s what I believe)
@birdie02 do you mean in the application? or when they decide whether or not you need excel?
We discussed (or ranted) about this topic (IMSA admissions) during LEAD yesterday (a mandatory course for all IMSA sophomores), and I believe that what you listed is first priority, and what I listed is second priority. EXCEL is based on placement exam scores regardless of anything else.
Letters are going to be sent out soon!! Good luck everyone!
I am very nervous about decisions, but I have been to calm my nerves because I can still try next year.
I pretty much know the outcome but I’m going to be happy for those of you who got waitlisted or accepted!
Everyone - I’m sure all your applications were amazing, and at least some of you will get in. I also want to say that even if some of you don’t get in that I’m sure it was because there was just a really strong applicant pool. Either way, congrats for all of you for pushing yourself!
Is it true IMSA results mailed and reaching today?
@Manyadmin no, all the results are mailed out May 1st
Ok I guess they are??? I got an acceptance letter soooo
Do you have to let them know that you accepted also,. If so when is the deadline?
@Manyadmin I think it says in the letter, but I believe it is within 5 days you have to mail the letter back
Could be wrong though about the time
I got my letter. I didn’t get in.
HOLY F***
I got a letter form IMSA
@mrcw42 did you get in?
Am I the only one who got a letter saying that I was accepted? I thought they sent them out on May 1st? Is this a joke? A prank of sorts? A mistake?
