I got a 2040 on the June one (680 straight) with some studying. On last November I got a 1870. I am a rising senior.
I want to go to the University of Washington (honors if possible), but I also want to apply colleges like Berkeley, Cornell and Stanford (legacy). However, I know my SAT scores are quite low for those schools (my only major weakness).
Should I take it again? Or, should I focus on the ACT and subject tests instead (haven’t taken any)? I don’t exactly have a lot of chances left before applications (especially for EA).
Thank you, any input would be appreciated.
There are people that have got into these school with your scores, you can take the ACT if you plan on going to schools in the west.
It doesn’t hurt to take it a third time. I didn’t think I would improve my third time, but my score actually went up 210 points
Taking it a third time isn’t recommended but if you think you can study and improve, you should! I feel like turning around and learning to take a whole new test (the ACT) may not be the best option. Make a summer study plan for the SAT and maybe go from there Good luck!
