In need of Advice/Chances

I want to go into BME at JHU. Yes, my test scores are no where near what they need to be but I am working on them. I was wondering what my chances were and what I need to work on. Thanks in advance for your advice. I plan on applying ED for better chances with no financial aid.

Do you have any AP's? Your EC's seem fine but your test scores really scare me. Work to get in/around the 700-range.

The college classes are pretty much AP's. I talked to a counselor at GIT and they told me that if I was in a class with college students, taught by a college professor, then they would be accepted like AP's and be looked at with merit just the same. GIT isn't JHU but, I have heard this from other schools too.

No AP's are offered. There is no honors, adv, or reg classes. Everyone is mixed in the same class and they run at an accelerated rate. It seems to work, the grad rate at my school was 97%. I plan to talk about my school in my essay where applicable because I believe it is important. So while I don't have AP's it is different from a regular high school.

Yeah my scores scare me too. I feel better about taking the ACT so I have 2 more chances to get a better score. A 30 should be good. Between now and September I am going to do some tutoring and tons of practice tests. This is true for a lot of my friends too, they score low and it doesn't match GPA. I am gonna throw out some blame on the state but it is up to me to do well!

Thanks for a response.
