In need of desperate help!

OK, first I'd like to know if it is possible to increase on the ACT by 10-12 points? I am a senior and I scored a 20 (19E, 25M, 16R, and 21S). I never finish of the subjects on the ACT. I have a 3.9GPA and take most AP classes and do very well, but on tests like these I just do very bad. Could someone please tell me how to increase my score? I really would like to get a 31+

Now, I have practice books but they don't seem to do the trick. If you scored a 30, how did you get there? Are you an avid reader? Please let me know, Thanks!

if you are a senior, the last test date was december (i think)

the last test date is june 9th and you dont have to be in high school to retake it

Right, but why would you want to retake it if the deadline for freshman applications are passing and you are going to college soon? Do you plan to transfer?

Yeah..most schools probably won't accept the February one..

I plan on taking a year off.

i got a 31 with no prep; but I am an avid reader (& i have a strong aversion to math, so that would explain why my math score is so low). I hear the Princeton Review's ACT book is really useful when you want to up your scores...

Well actually, some schools accept the Feb. ACT scores (Harvard, Yale, Duke). You have to call the admissions office to check if your school would accept them, because some schools don't even make decisions until sometime in March (main reason why Duke is letting me submit my Feb. scores).
