Hi all.
I'm new to CC, so bear with me if I make any stupid mistakes >.>
I am a junior in high school, taking rigorous courses (all APs that my school has to offer) while maintaining a 3.98 GPA. However, the fact that I only immigrated here couple years ago is becoming an issue.
In short, the language, or rather vocab, is giving me headaches.
So I was wondering if any of you could give me some tips on how to study, in general, for the CR section. (Essay shouldn't be a problem).
Thanks to all :)

If vocab is in issue then pick a copy of wizard of oz with vocabulary. Or if you’re the memorizing type get a testmasters big word list and just memorize your way through. If reading is a problem all I can say is learn to love reading! If you find the articles in sat fairly interesting (which I did) and you read CAREFULLY you will do just fine.

Thanks for the reply.
No, reading isn’t an issue at all since I am in AP English.
So that class should settle me for both reading and writing.

If possible, can anyone reference me to a good technique of memorizing vocabs? For example, how to retain memory of the words that you have already looked at, etc.

Some people like to use pneumonic which is relating a word to a funny word or odd picture in your mind. Look it up. They have plenty of examples online.

There are plenty McGraw/Barrons (I forget which) vocab books with pictures and good ways to memorize words. Go to your closest Barnes and Noble and see if you like them.
