In State acceptance rates?

i live in new jersey and someone told me that you get a higher chance of admission to princeton if you live in-state.
is it true?

Probably not. There might happen to be more from NJ than any other state (you can check the stats) but it is a private school, not a public one. There are people from probably every state and many different countries.

Being in state give you no advantage at all.

It probably has to do with children of Princeton employees and locals who are admitted at a higher rate.

Not at all. Princeton is a private school and private schools don’t distinguish on this basis

People may think that way from the number of enrolled students from NJ, but the admission rate may be not higher.
