There are many schools out there that will classify you as an in-state student and charge you with in-state rates if you earn a scholarship.

Could we start a list for future applicants? I know of a few schools, so I can start:

Clemson University
Texas A&M University
University of Georgia
University of South Carolina-Columbia
University of Texas-Austin

If we cut and paste, it can be a cummulative list:

Clemson University
Texas A&M University
University of Georgia
University of South Carolina-Columbia
University of Texas-Austin
Texas Tech

Do you know what kind/name of the scholarship you would have to earn to get instate tuition for the University of Texas at Austin ?.

That is one of my top choices as a transfer student and I've been reading everything I can get my hands on for that school, but I haven't come across such scholarship.
Thanks

Don't know about specific scholarships, I just know you get in-state tuition if you are awarded a scholarship there. I do know that Texas A&M has transfer scholarships to students who have a 3.6 or better, which awards in-state tuition and $1,000 minimum.

The U Cs (Cali) do NOT offer any such deal. Moreover, their rule is that the out-of-state portion of tuition (that extyra $17K) can only be funded by loans -- no grants (at least that's what the financial aid department told us...)
