I've heard that if you qualify you can pay instate tuition even though you're an oos student.. can anyone tell me what goes into being selected for this?

It is a scholarship offered through the school based upon your application.

ok.. does it weigh in ECs or just like gpa and sat score.. if my gpa is ~ a 3.6 UW 4.15 W and SAT is 720M 670V do you think i have a shot?

I think the basic criteria for consideration is a 1350 SAT and top 10%. I don't know about gpa or ECs.

ok so if my sats are above a 1350 and im in the top 10% is the instate tuition automatic or guaranteed?

I do not think it is based on anything but stats. My OOS son received the instate tuition waiver with his acceptance letter - GPA 4.4 SAT 1400.

Same with my son. He had a 32 ACT and is 10/475 in his class. I don't think we even submitted SAT to Clemson.

I was told that all the waivers have already gone out at this point. Those that haven't received anything by now probably won't get one. It may not be a question of qualifying; I think there was a limited number of waivers to be had.

My impression after contacting FA is the same as FLVADAD--oos tuition waivers are over. I was told that merit aid will continue to go out in the form of general university scholarships until mid-April.
