In-State Tuition

I'm an out of state kid. I think that in my second year I'm eligible for in-state tuition, right? You just need a Cali bank account or apartment or whatever. Anyone tried doing this and run into any snags? How difficult is it?

If you move to California for the purpose of education, you are not classified as a resident while you are in school. If you move there and live there for a year without going to school, them maybe.

Anyone else have thoughts? The website seems to say that "establishing ties to the land" will do it, and the requirements for that seem to be pretty easy.

Has anybody tried/done it?
