Hello all! I've been lurking around the pages for a while, but I've finally decided to make an account and post. The admissions process is just about over for me, and for many of you as well! Once the hanging details are cleared away, I just don't know how I'm going to stand the wait. I thought the application process would be the hard part, but now that things have slipped out of my hands I feel more anxious than before. I keep second guessing my applications even though I know the worrying is useless. This is particularly stressful because it goes against my normal, laid-back approach to life. I don't normally feel this way!! I was just wondering how all of you other hopefuls are planning on spending the next few months. Are y'all as stressed out as I am, already the proud holder of good news, or just glad to have everything finished?

Hopefully, you already have been admitted to a school which you can see yourself enjoying this Sept. Clearly one of the great benefits of EA – if possible. Besides that, if you’ve achieved a solid academic record and have applied to a good array of schools, my advice to you is this:

enjoy yourself to the max extent possible! Go up and ask out every guy/gal you had mind to do but hesitated. Make memories w/your HS friends – this is the last hurrah for you and your circle will forever change once graduation happens. But since it’s at its twilight – you also have nothing to lose. Study your butt off and kill those APs because you can and not to impress anyone! Show gratitude to your parents. Consider how many other 17-18 year olds will give their right arms to be sitting in your shoes. Breathe in life and have a fantastic summer.

College notifications? Pfft. That’s kid stuff. What’s gonna happen is already in motion and nothing you do (besides going to jail or failing out) will affect it!

The real adventure begins in Septmber! Your current worries will be distant memories the first hours you’re on campus. I guarantee it.

That was beautiful and I needed that :,) haha thank you.

i got buried in schoolwork and my extracurriculars. i didn’t realize letters were coming out till the week of.

it helps time go by

You’re so right haha. Time to just relax and have a good time for the next few months. Thanks for your input!
