Alright... I have verizon and I like it. But, I have a Kyocera Phantom phone and it's starting to get annoying. Anyone have any recs on a good phone and the reason? I've seen a lot of razrs and I like them, but what's so special?

They're pretty and expensive, and that's about it. SLVRs are hot, too.

I have a huge 90's phone, without a color display o anything. It's pretty ***ked up.

Nothing really, its just so thin and sleek.

Razrs are darn good lookin' phones, but nothing special really. Function-wise, they're the same as my motorola V330, which i got for free with T-Mobile.
You've got to decide what you want from the new phone. Good camera? Nice design? Good speed? QWERTY keyboard? Bluetooth/IrDA/WiFi/FM radio? MP3 player? Good screen? You can't just shop for a phone, you have to have criteria according to which you are choosing it.
As for me, I have a Motorola V330, as i said, and i like it. It's a bit slow, but works very well with bluetooth headsets and has good radio. Ny next phone will probably be T-Mobile MDA or the same Windows Mobile phone from Cingular or Verizon.

Palm Treo 700

If I could go buy any phone right now, it would be a PEBL. I havn't ever seen one in person, but it looks amazing and is supposed to have better reception than a Nokia brick phone. I also kinda want a Blackberry.

Look at reviews on PhoneScoop. You generally can't go wrong w/ their reviews.

Get a sidekick. Just don't get in a cab in Corona and leave it there...

You've gotta get a razr. Sure, the buttons can be annoying to press sometimes, and sure, the OS runs a little slow (I always find there to be slight pauses when loading new screens...and if you impatiently hit the button again, you end up pushing something you didn't want to...it's a pain), but they are by far the coolest-looking phones. And they do get good reception. So there: they look cool and they work.

Don't worry Martha. It's not bad... it's retro, so therefore, it's cool.

One of my friends from school was soooo retro that she actually had one of those old phones from the early 90s, late 80s, that was brick-sized and had the text only screen... man, that battery would die sooo fast, haha.

i have a pink razr. its awesome. really good looking, in my opinion :D

^^^i've banged up my razr pretty badly. dropped it multiple times, but it's still working after a year. i think my battery's jacked up though, or maybe its the phone. i don't know. but have insurance and i'm gettin a new one.

anyway....i was thinking of gettin the PINK one just b/c it's so hideous, that it's almost hilarious in a way. i think i might just go for the BLACK one though. i've seen red and blue ones, but i think they were from verizon or some other company. cingular all the way.

I just got a new phone :-D. Waiting for it to be delivered.

My old one, though, is a Sony Ericsson 237... I've tried to lose it, break it, get it stolen... no luck. It reminds me of that scetch from Jeff Foxworthy about sunglasses: a pair of Raybans will disappear faster than a pizza at a Weight Watchers convention, but you can never get rid of a pair of cheapo's.

Seriously: this thing has been drowned in water like 7 times, dropped, sat on, left out in public, etc. I still have it and it STILL WORKS!!!

Nokia 3310
