If I get accepted to Berkeley, I'm considering doing an Integrative Bio/Comp Sci double major. Do you think that would be doable?

How about IB and another major?

How about IB and another major?

: (

isn’t it doable to double major (or simultaneous major, idk what that means really but i heard that term around… joint major?) with IB since you hear about so many people in other majors going pre-med? so those other majors r taking essentially the same lower division courses as IB and… idk someone answer this haha.

but cs/ib sounds like hell …

@ 88888888- I guess that’s a no?

IB double majors are very doable and are very common. I personally am an IB + Latin double major (though I will be taking a ninth semester to give me time to take some extra IB courses I will need for graduate school and to give me time to take the Latin honors thesis course)

Anyways, IB upper division sequencing is very fluid and can easily conform to your CS requirements, since the major requirements are very loose and free form.

I was thinking the same thing with psych and IB… since psych has a few upper div’s that are also listed as IB courses… but I’m still not sure, if I can get through these annoying lower div’s (for premed) then upper div’s shouldn’t be too hard…

IB+Psych, IB+MCB, IB+Anthro, and IB+English are some of the most common IB double majors that I have heard of

what r some common doubles with public health? xD

molecular tox

bump to derek’s post #8-would like to know same thing. im public health and premed…

high five waiting4college!

IB isn’t difficult to double major in. I’m IB with a minor in music, which has been super easy so far. If you’re applying to med schools, they don’t really care if you had an IB/MCB double major, because they like well-rounded applicants. If you’re going to go through the hassle of double majoring, pick a major that isn’t quite so similar.

Premeds shouldn’t worry about double majoring as much as getting good grades in the pre-req classes.

another high school overachiever who does not yet know the limits of his work load.
