In your opinions, best comedian?

Jack Benny- modern comedians can't compare.

Jon Stewart followed by Steven Colbert

I have to agree with the person who said Russell Peters. But I'd also like to mention that Triumph the Insult Comic Dog is hilarious (especially his Star Wars clip).

russel peters, ali g, lee evans.

I third Eddie Izzard, especially something from his "Dress to Kill" show.

For pure comedic ability, Izzard's bit about whether Englebert Humperdinck is alive or dead is the best I've ever seen. He keeps you and the whole audience laughing for a solid three minutes with pretty much just body language. That whole show is the best two hours of stand-up I've ever seen.

"How are the experiments coming along, Dr. Heimlich?"
"Not so well. It's not a maneuver yet; it's really more of a gesture."

Lewis Black is hilarious on the Daily Show, but his stand-up never really got me laughing. Dane Cook is grossly overrated, also, IMO.

Mitch Hedberg is another good one, especially since he has a CD that you can pick up for cheap and just use one of its tracks in your preso. He is also relatively clean.

Try to stay away from any bits/comedians that are even a little political; it could alienate some of your audience.

hmmm... I was expecting more Dane Cooks too... personally I like him because his CD is funny, and seeing him live is even better!

Dane Cook! He's amazing.

Bill Hicks was pretty good.

mitch hedberg but he died. he was a great comedian, funny, but his real humor was just his voice and way he spoke. i love him!

hmmmmm jon stewart and stephen colbert are witty too.

My favorite is Dmitri Martin; Lynne Koplitz is funny too. These are both people from Comedy Central Presents, so you could probably get some clips online.

carlos mencia

Richard Pryor
Eddie Murphy

Eddie Izzard, hands down! "Cake or death?"

I vote nick swardson

Oooh, ooh, Jon Stewart. Definitely.

The best of all time is unquestionably Richard Pryor. You want someone more current, go dane cook. Both are can't miss.

drinkingmilkalldaylong, i have a question. how do you stand watching carlos mencia for more than five minutes? he is so obnoxious. all he does is yell and go "DUR DUR DUR!!!"

Brian Regan

probably dane cook or sarah silverman. i love sarah silverman

Dane Cook and Hedberg.
