Inception Reviews

To those who have already seen Inception, what are your thoughts? I saw it Friday, and all that I have to say is that Christopher Nolan is a pure genius. One of the few movies that actually makes you think. I love it.

Also, make sure you pay attention throughout the entire movie - use the restroom before it starts, or you might end up being lost. The movie is very involved. Just a warning.

I just saw it. It’s now one of my favorite movies.

I saw it tonight, and I very much enjoyed it.

I will need to see it at least one other time in theaters to fully understand it and take everything in.

What I do not understand is opinions like Wartsandall. I’m not trying to demean anyone (really), I am just confused about what makes it one of the best movies ever, favoritestest movies, etc. Perhaps I was thinking the entire movie, so I missed out on something. Or perhaps it was the thinking that made it so good. Could someone explain? What makes it better than, say, the Sixth Sense, or A Few Good Men, or something like that?

Also, my favorite part of the movie was Cillian Murphy’s awesome clothes. In particular, the tie he wore in the first layer of the dream, as well as his French cuff links. And his tie knots.

Sorry, I just had to get that out there. If I had his wardrobe, I would be set.

As I said on facebook, this movie was a mind****. It was so great though, the whole dreaming + the architecture, plus the dimensions, don’t wanna spoil it though. Marion Cotillard was scaring me the entire movie, whenever I saw her, I knew something bad was going to happen.

I saw the midnight showing. It was definitely hard to understand when you’re half asleep (didnt know it was almost 3 hours long). It was a very good movie and I kind of like how Leo is in very philosophical/psychological movies. Movies that make you think such as Shutter Island. Inception made you understand another way to interpret dreams. I really liked how they include that you never remember the beginning of a dream. I’m defintely going to go see this movie again when I’m fully awake, though.

Exactly. I need to watch it when I’m fresh.

*definitely. But yeah, it was a good movie. Since I was literally half asleep I forgot why they used that guy to test the inception on. The one who got his dad’s will at the end. I kind of missed that part, I know Joseph Gordon-Levitt did research on him. But why him? I think I dozzed off for about 5 minutes.

I’m fond of it because it was thought-provoking. I’ve also recently developed an interest in idealism and the concept of dreaming. The movie corresponded with those aspects, enabling me to further develop my comprehension of the components. I suppose that we are all entitled to our own perceptions though.

I thought Joseph Gordon-Levitt looked very good in this movie, too.

Given the quality of Nolan’s previous movies that I have seen (Batman Begins, Memento, The Prestige, and especially The Dark Knight), I had big expectations, which were nonetheless completely fulfilled.

Warning: DO NOT take a girl to this movie. If you get “distracted” for a few minutes then you’re SOL as far as the plot goes.

^LOL. i can’t wait to see this movie  i just saw shutter island…it was very cool [even though i do wish the ending could have been different]. but, yeah, i agree with the person who wrote leonardo dicaprio has been in to making philosophical/psychological movies, lately. i love it <3

LoL, go with your parents and stare at the screen, best bet.

Ugh, it’s one of my dreams to be in a Chris Nolan movie.

I liked the Dark Knight but honestly, it wasn’t the best movie ever. Many people act as if the Dark Knight was the greatest movie and I just think it was not that amazing. I did like it, don’t get me wrong, but I definitely have seen better.

^ The Dark Knight is definitely one of my favorite movies (easily top ten).

It’s really hard to decide which movies are my “favorite”. Transformers used to be my favorite but once I saw the second one, it lowered my standards for that movie…

The first Transformers is a solid movie, but it’s not even on the same level as The Dark Knight.

I still think the Matrix is better than all of them.

^but…but…keanu reeves was just embarrassing -_-
