Yes, it's an awesome movie. If you don't like it, get out.
I'm just kidding, I'm curious to know both opinions :) But if you don't like it please do explain why, I rather hate the 'pointless hate and bashing' stuff that is so often seen online.
Spoilers follow, for those who haven't seen it yet. I don't recommend you go on reading if you haven't. [Actually, if you haven't seen it, I recommend you go and see it - like, now.
Then read this post.]

At the end of the movie, during the 'heist', I felt there was a bit of an inconsistency. When Fischer and Saito in the 3rd level, they ended up in limbo, rather than back in the 2nd level. Now yeah, I know you're going to say that it's because of the strong sedative, but shouldn't that only work for the first level? When they entered the 3rd dream level, they didn't use a really strong sedative, as it was only one level down [as opposed to the 3 they needed back in reality] so shouldn't Fischer and Saito just have went back up a level? And what was up with dying in limbo=reappearing in the 3rd level, that made no sense. If you die in limbo you should reappear in limbo.

And something I didn't get: How did Cobb and Ariadne go into limbo just by going into a 4th level? Is it just because they went too deep?

I'm watching it again soon so I'll try and get as many answers as I can out of it :) But I'm eager to discuss it with fellow CCers! This movie is awesome :D

I don’t think Fischer and Adriadne died in limbo… they just fell off the building to give them the necessary “kick” to move back up to level 3. Though I also think that maybe the “limbo” they were on was just a level 4 of the dream (Cobb’s dream) and that the real “limbo” was where Cobb went when he washed up on the beach and found Saito. Saito died from the gunshot wound and, a few minutes later, Cobb died from drowning, which is why he’s so much younger than Saito in limbo. But that doesn’t explain how Fischer ended up on level 4… maybe he wasn’t really completely dead?

Haha, I soo need to rewatch this at some point.

If I remember correctly, Cobb established that dying on any dream level meant going straight to limbo.

I was under the impression that Ariadne didn’t die. She jumped off the edge as her kick out of limbo*.

Haha, this is where it gets tricky. There’s a whole debate on the imdb forums about whether or not Cobb and Ariadne had even made it into limbo or if it was simply a 4th level, even though there was no mention whatsoever about the possibility of a 4th level existing. I think it’s safe to say that Fischer was indeed killed off by Mal, and if that’s the case he definitely went to limbo. If Cobb and Ariadne were able to find Fischer at his normal age, then we can assume that they did indeed make it to limbo. However, a case can be made on whether he really did die or not, as Saito aged significantly when Cobb finally found him, perhaps suggesting that Saito had died and went to the real limbo, whereas Fischer just fell into a 4th level.
