April Yield Events
During the month of April the Admission Office will be very busy with events aimed at encouraging admitted students to choose Vassar. In addition to being open on weekdays and Saturdays for multiple tours and information sessions, the following events and programs will be available:
• Admitted students will have the opportunity to sit in on classes and/or stay overnight with a current Vassar student.
• Two Open Houses, with full-day programming, will be available to students and families who wish to visit and explore Vassar.
• FOCUS Weekend is a three-day program for underrepresented students who would like to become more acquainted with Vassar.
• We are continuing the Class of 2022 Facebook group for all admitted students. Admitted students can ask admission officers and current students questions about the Vassar experience, as well as connect with other admitted students.
• Finally, the Postcard campaign will continue, which allows current Vassar students to send postcards to students from their high schools or to students they know encouraging them to choose Vassar.
A Note About the Wait List
We will not know whether we will be using our Wait List until early May. However, if we move to our Wait List, we will review the candidates who have chosen to remain on the list after the May 1st response date. In past years, we’ve taken as few as zero and as many as eighty from the Wait List. More information will be available regarding the Class of 2022 later this summer.
