(Incoming FRESHMAN) How can I begin SAT prep?

I am an incoming Freshman at my highschool. I currently am going to one of the largest high schools in Texas and competition is heavy.

How can I begin preparation for the SAT? What are good books? Should I do vocab now? Links? Groups? Programs? Anything?

Going to a class is my last option because of the funding required to participate.

Don't answer with "You're too early". I am not interested.

Thanks!

Jokes. If you prepare starting now and if you don’t give up, you will not need a tutor or any prep program. But chances are that you will give up as school will consume your freedom and vitality. Don’t over do it because you might burn out before you even reach Junior year. Buy the CollegeBoards blue book and online course and prepare from there. Finish everything, review everything, and do it again and the 2000+ score will be granted. It’s not a bad idea to start memorizing vocab in your spare time either. As for extra strategic prep books, look it up yourself. There’s pros and cons to each book and it differs for everyones taste. Good luck cowboy.

Thanks. I’ll definitely look in to the book.

Bump
Anything else anyone?
